The 2027 Academy runs June 7 through August 6
Schwab’s 2027 Intern Academy is a paid nine-week summer internship. Interns join a specific Schwab team and work full time on business projects while also participating in Academy-wide development, networking and cohort activities.

Schwab says 2027 internship recruiting began August 28, 2026 and new openings continue appearing through the fall. There is no single Academy-wide application deadline: students apply to individual internship requisitions, and each role can close on its own schedule.
Program-wide eligibility is broad, while each requisition still controls
The central Intern Academy page requires an expected graduation date between August 2027 and June 2028, enrollment in a bachelor's, master's or PhD program, availability for the full June 7–August 6 program and the ability to work full time onsite at the location listed for the internship.
Schwab does not publish a program-wide GPA cutoff or prior-finance-internship requirement. Individual requisitions can add their own major, technical-skill, work-authorization or other requirements, so do not generalize one role's sponsorship rule to the entire Academy.

Choose a track where your existing evidence matches the work
Current Academy tracks include Corporate Risk Management, DAFgiving360, Finance, Wealth & Advice Solutions, Human Resources, Internal Audit, Investor Services, Marketing, Operations, Retirement Business Services, Workplace Services, Strategy and Technology.
Finance can fit students interested in forecasting, reporting, treasury or analysis. Technology fits software, data and systems work. Investor Services and Wealth & Advice Solutions are closer to brokerage, client service and advice. Operations, Workplace Services, Retirement Business Services and Strategy can fit process, project, analytical or customer-experience evidence. Other tracks require their own function-specific proof.
A class project, part-time job, campus role, research assignment or independent build can be useful when it demonstrates a skill the actual requisition asks for.
Multiple applications are allowed, but interview progression narrows to one role
You apply to a specific Schwab internship, not to one generic Academy pool. Schwab says candidates can apply to multiple jobs, but the Academy allows interview progression for only one internship role at a time. That makes role selection more important than sending the same application to every track.
There is no universal Academy deadline. New opportunities appear through the fall and some tracks can have short posting windows, so use the deadline on the exact requisition you want and apply before it closes.
Schwab's general hiring process may include an initial phone conversation with a Talent Advisor and additional interviews required by the team. A typical process can include a Talent Advisor and Hiring Manager interview, but the number of interviews varies. The Academy does not publish one universal coding test, online assessment or case interview.
Treat the Academy as paid team work, not an insight event
Schwab says interns work on business projects connected to clients and business objectives and receive professional development, networking, business-specific experiences and cohort activities. The exact work depends on the team; there is no single capstone, rotation or assignment shared by every Intern Academy participant.
Schwab describes internships as an important path to future full-time opportunities, but the central Academy page does not promise a return offer. Some individual tracks are more explicit about full-time pipelines, and those statements belong to those requisitions rather than the Academy as a whole.
If your graduation date and schedule fit, open the current Academy roles, choose the requisition that best matches evidence you already have and follow that role's location, qualifications and closing date.
