The Summer 2027 student-athlete role is live

The Student-Athlete Internship Program is a paid six-week Fidelity internship designed for rising junior and senior student athletes whose summer schedules may not fit the company's standard ten-week internship. The current role runs June 7 through July 17, 2027 for 30 hours per week.

Choose the work area that matches evidence you already have

The clearest fit is a student athlete entering junior or senior year who can work the full six-week schedule, return to school afterward and be onsite at one of the four listed offices. The posting does not limit 'student athlete' by NCAA division, varsity status, scholarship or captaincy.

The role also does not publish a required major, finance background or prior corporate internship. Client Relations centers on customer advocacy, account management, sales and financial consulting. Corporate Support Services includes marketing, events, communications and other corporate functions. Operations is closer to process and service delivery. Technology is primarily software and data engineering.

Athletics can prove preparation, teamwork, leadership and performance under pressure, but it should not substitute for function-specific evidence. A Technology applicant still needs technical work they can explain; Client Relations or Operations applicants can use customer-facing work, logistics, campus leadership or team responsibilities when those examples actually match the job.

Apply while the exact role is live instead of borrowing another Fidelity deadline

The exact Student-Athlete posting does not publish a closing date, coding test, case interview, assessment sequence or interview count. Fidelity's general internship process says applications and resumes are reviewed, selected candidates can have an initial recruiter phone conversation, and candidates whose skills match a role may be invited to interview. Treat that as general Fidelity process guidance, not a guaranteed Student-Athlete sequence.

Fidelity's standard internship page gives a broad mid-September to mid-October application window but explicitly says timing and application processes for additional programs such as Student-Athlete can vary. Apply while the current 2027 posting is live rather than converting the standard-program window into this requisition's deadline.

The six-week program still produces real internship work

Interns join an assigned Fidelity team and also take part in career-development training, mentorship and panels with former college athletes, a collaborative cohort capstone and selected events from the broader summer internship program.

Keep track of the problem you worked on, your contribution and the result so you can discuss the work later without disclosing confidential company or client information. This is employment, unlike a summit or insight program. Use your actual Fidelity function and internship title on your resume rather than relabeling a Technology, Operations or Corporate Support assignment as finance.

Use the program as a real work signal, not a promised return offer

Fidelity's broader student pathway connects internships with later campus recruiting, but the Student-Athlete posting does not promise another internship, a return offer or a full-time job.

If you meet the class-year, return-to-school, location and schedule requirements, choose the work area that best matches your current evidence and apply while the role remains available.
