Keep the exact PM terms in your plan

The Product Management posting is Early Career ID 41297. Roblox lists a 12-week Summer 2027 internship in San Mateo, an hourly pay range of $62–$62, and a Friday, October 30 application cutoff written as 5 PM PST. The posting also says recruiting is rolling, so a prepared earlier application is more useful than treating the cutoff as the target submission time.

The role is office-based Tuesday through Thursday, with optional office presence Monday and Friday unless otherwise noted. Roblox lists undergraduate or graduate study in computer science, engineering, information systems, business, mathematics or a related field.

Keep the employer’s time-zone wording rather than silently converting it. The posting also warns that Roblox may not be able to employ candidates with certain U.S. visa-related work authorization or support future H-1B sponsorship. Treat that as this requisition’s boundary, not a company-wide rule for every role.

Show a product decision with evidence

The posting describes specifications, experimentation plans, go-to-market briefs, user research, creator feedback and data analysis. Prepare one example that lets a reviewer follow a decision instead of giving a broad presentation about why Roblox is successful.

For practice, use a fictional creator tool with a long setup flow. Define the user, identify where the flow breaks down, state the evidence behind that diagnosis and choose one small change you would test first. Compare a clearer explanation, a better default and removing a genuinely unnecessary step before jumping to a full redesign or “add AI.”

Explain what could go wrong with the change. A faster setup can still be worse if creators publish with a bad default or need to reverse the choice later.

Define the measurement before recommending the change

Write down the eligible user population and the event that counts as success. Starting setup, finishing setup and publishing something useful are different events. A higher completion rate is not automatically evidence of better long-term creator outcomes.

For a hypothetical experiment, describe allocation, the primary outcome and one safeguard such as errors or later reversals. Do not invent a sample size or duration without a baseline, effect size and decision rule.

Tie the reasoning to your real work. A class project or startup prototype can demonstrate a product decision, but label whether it was tested with real users, simulated or only proposed. Do not turn a recommendation into a claimed business result.

Submit without importing another Roblox role’s assumptions

Use the official PM requisition and save the role ID and submitted materials. Product Design, Software Engineering and other Roblox roles can have different pay, language and application details even when they share a date.

Keep applying elsewhere while the role is under review. A submitted application is not an interview or offer.
