Start here: the 2027 Summit is open and virtual
The current BNP Paribas listing has an active Apply route for the 2027 Open Sophomore Opportunity Summit. The program runs January 13–14, 2027 and is virtual. BNP Paribas describes it as a two-day interactive early-career program, not a two-day internship.

What participants actually do
The current program includes employee panels and fireside chats, small-group discussions with business leaders and team members, skills-building activities, campus recruiting office hours and networking. The useful distinction is that you are learning about work and meeting recruiters rather than performing a Summer Analyst job.
Treat the Summit as a short exploration and recruiting-access program. Completion can be a named early-career program on your resume after you actually attend, but it is not employment at BNP Paribas.

Eligibility: check the graduation window before anything else
The current listing requires a current undergraduate sophomore with an expected graduation date between Winter 2028 and Spring 2029. All majors and academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
BNP Paribas says a 3.3 GPA or higher is preferred. Preferred is not the same as required. The listing also does not publish a prior-internship or prior-finance-experience requirement, so do not invent one.

Use the Summit to distinguish Banking from Markets
The program exposes students to Banking and Markets. If you are undecided, make the uncertainty specific: compare the kinds of decisions, analyses and client problems handled in Global Banking with the markets-facing work in Global Markets.
Prepare one question for each path that cannot be answered by reading a careers page. For Banking, ask what an analyst's first draft or analysis supports. For Markets, ask how analysts combine market information, client needs and risk in daily work.
Use the live application, not a borrowed recruiting sequence
Start from the current official Summit listing and use its Apply button. The public page does not publish a Summit-specific assessment, recorded interview, technical interview, case stage or application closing date.
Confirm the sophomore and graduation-window rules, update your resume, submit while the listing is active and save the confirmation. If BNP Paribas sends a next step, follow that message rather than assuming the interview process from a different internship or business division.

Prepare for two days of access rather than trying to sound like an analyst already
Review your resume and pick one example that shows analytical work, one that shows collaboration and one that shows follow-through. These can come from coursework, a campus organization, research, a part-time job or a personal project.
Then write questions that use the access well: what surprised an analyst in the first six months, which task best separates one business from another, and what made an early candidate useful during recruiting. The goal is to leave with a more specific next action, not to ask the most technical question in the room.
Describe only the stage you actually reached
Before the event, an application or acceptance is not the same as completing the program. After completion, a truthful label is 'BNP Paribas — Open Sophomore Opportunity Summit Participant | Virtual | Jan. 2027.' Do not call yourself a BNP Paribas intern.
BNP Paribas says participants may be invited to interview for a 2028 Summer Analyst internship. May matters: attendance does not guarantee an interview, and an interview would not guarantee an internship.

What to do next
Apply through the current official listing while the route is active. Before submitting, verify your graduation window and clean up your resume. After submitting, spend an hour learning the difference between Global Banking and Global Markets and write four questions you would genuinely want answered.
If you are still building your first finance evidence, continue building a project, competition entry, simulation or campus contribution rather than waiting for January. If you later receive a 2028 Summer Analyst interview invitation, switch to the exact business and requisition rather than preparing for a generic BNP interview.
