Start here: applications are November 2–8, 2026
Deutsche Bank has published the 2027 London application window for Spring into Banking: November 2–8, 2026. As of September 22, the application period is upcoming rather than open. The program itself is a four-day spring insight program; Deutsche Bank says exact attendance dates are normally posted on the eventual job description.

The 2027 London timetable lists three Spring into Banking tracks: Technology, Data & Innovation; Investment Banking & Capital Markets; and Fixed Income & Currencies. Keep those track names separate from Deutsche Bank’s RISE, GROW and ADVANCE insight programs, which have their own audience rules and a different November application window.
Spring into Banking sits before the Summer Internship Programme. At the end of the week, participants gain early access to the Summer Internship interview process. That is a meaningful recruiting benefit, but it is not a guaranteed internship, assessment-centre pass or offer.
Check every eligibility gate before the seven-day application window
The 2027 timetable requires applicants to be in the first year of a three-year degree or the second year of a four-year degree and to complete all degree requirements between August 1, 2028 and July 31, 2029. Applicants should be on track for a 2:1 or First, or equivalent, and possess no more than 12 months of full-time relevant work experience.
All degree disciplines are welcome on the Spring into Banking overview. That does not erase track-specific academic requirements. For Fixed Income & Currencies and Investment Banking & Capital Markets, the current 2027 timetable adds at least three A-Levels at AAA with at least an A in A-Level Maths, or the stated UCAS equivalent. Do not automatically apply that extra school-level rule to Technology, Data & Innovation.
The timetable also says applicants must be able to start full-time work in July 2029, subject to local working legislation and visa requirements. That wording is not a published sponsorship promise or refusal. Use the live application for any exact work-authorization rule when the window opens.
What happens during the four days
The program begins with a cross-divisional introduction to banking and financial markets. Deutsche Bank describes training on how the bank operates, meetings with employees from Analysts through senior management, and exposure to multiple areas of the firm.
Work shadowing is one of the clearest program activities: participants can observe desks within their chosen division. The program also uses speaker sessions, panels, mentoring groups, networking and interactive activities, with practice in presenting and interviewing.
The standing page does not promise a graded investment memo, model, software project, trade idea or client deliverable. Your signal is selected participation plus the training and shadowing you actually complete. Do not invent a portfolio artifact on the bank’s behalf.

Choose the track you can explain, not the broadest bank label
A Technology, Data & Innovation applicant should be ready to explain a technical or data example and why technology inside a bank interests them. An Investment Banking & Capital Markets applicant should understand the broad work of advisory and capital-markets teams. A Fixed Income & Currencies applicant should know why markets work appeals to them.
| Track | Useful preparation | 2027 academic note |
|---|---|---|
| Technology, Data & Innovation | One technical/data example you can explain and a reason technology inside banking interests you | The shared timetable does not apply the AAA/A-Level Maths condition to TDI |
| Investment Banking & Capital Markets | Basic understanding of advisory/capital-markets work plus one analytical/team example | AAA across at least three A-Levels plus A in A-Level Maths, or stated UCAS equivalent |
| Fixed Income & Currencies | Basic markets vocabulary plus one quantitative or market question you investigated | AAA across at least three A-Levels plus A in A-Level Maths, or stated UCAS equivalent |
If you do not study finance, use evidence from the work you actually have: a class project, coding assignment, society budget, research exercise, campus role, part-time job or analytical project. The current program welcomes all degree disciplines; it does not require you to manufacture a prior banking internship.
Do not publish “no experience required” as an exact Deutsche Bank rule. The current evidence is narrower: this is an early-university program, all degree disciplines are welcome, the timetable caps relevant full-time work experience at 12 months, and the reviewed pages do not publish a minimum finance-work-experience requirement.
Prepare for the selection process before November 2
Deutsche Bank lists an online application and situational judgement test first. Candidates who progress can then face inductive reasoning tests, a recorded video interview and finally a telephone interview.
Have the résumé, academic details and track choice ready before the application window opens. Practice situational judgement and inductive reasoning, then record short answers to “Why this division?”, “Why Deutsche Bank?” and one example of learning or working with others.
Do not spend the whole preparation period memorizing technical interview questions for a four-day insight program. The current selection sequence explicitly includes judgement, reasoning and motivation screens; prepare for the stage that actually exists.

Use the program as a bridge into the separate internship process
Only add Spring into Banking to your résumé after you have actually participated. Name the program and describe activities you completed, such as cross-divisional training, desk shadowing or structured practice in presenting and networking. Do not relabel yourself as an Investment Banking Intern or Sales & Trading Intern because you shadowed those teams.
The published recruiting path is Spring into Banking selection, then the four-day program, then early access to the Summer Internship interview process, followed by a separate internship selection process. Keep each stage distinct.
A useful independent follow-up is a short market note, desk comparison or technical project connected to what you learned. Keep it clearly separate from Deutsche Bank work and describe it as your own project.
