Published 2027 dates and student application status
Jane Street says AMP 2027 will run June 28–July 30 in New York City and that student applications will open early next year. Do not use the separate Summer 2026 application form as the 2027 student route while its cohort wording remains stale.

Resolve an unusual academic or authorization timeline before applying
Students graduating high school in 2027 are the main audience. Jane Street also says students who graduated in 2026 and have not yet started undergraduate study can attend, and its FAQ addresses gap-year cases.
AMP requires participants to be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. The current FAQ says AMP cannot accept CPT, OPT or the other sponsored forms it lists, and participants cannot attend on ESTA or a B1/B2 visitor visa. Keep those rules specific to AMP; Jane Street explicitly notes that other programs may have different sponsorship requirements.
For a nonstandard timeline, ask one precise question using your high-school graduation date, any university enrollment and the specific rule you need clarified. Do not infer eligibility from nationality or residence alone.

Build a résumé that shows how you learn
Use the résumé to show what occupied your time and which questions held your attention. A small project is useful when a reader can tell the problem, your method, how you checked it and what you learned. A list of programming-language names is much weaker by itself.
Jane Street says AMP does not require prior coding knowledge. The curriculum is designed for students with different levels of computer-science exposure, but applicants should have demonstrated interest and enthusiasm for math and/or computer science.
Do not copy staff-job requirements into the student application. AMP staff arrive a week early and have a separate six-week employment commitment; the student program remains five weeks.

Treat the full commitment and funding timing separately
Compare the full June 28–July 30 commitment with orientation, other programs, paid work and family obligations. Jane Street requires accepted students to confirm availability for the duration of the program.
Covered tuition, housing, meals and program travel reduce the direct cost of attending. The $5,000 scholarship is conditional on successful completion, so do not treat it as money available before travel.
If you are already at university, AMP is usually the wrong stage. Use the FTTP/INSIGHT comparison to inspect university-level Jane Street programs instead.
