Start here: applications open September 29 and there is no fixed closing date

Rothschild & Co’s current 2027 Women’s Horizon page lists September 29, 2026 as the application start date. The firm says it accepts applications and conducts interviews continuously once the window opens, so the practical deadline is “apply early,” not a date invented from an older cycle.

Downstream pathStrong performers may be offered a fast-track assessment process for the following year’s Summer Internship

The program runs for four days in London in Spring 2027. It is an insight program rather than employment: participants shadow junior bankers, attend skills sessions and presentations, network with employees and learn about several parts of Rothschild & Co.

The current page says strong performers can be offered an opportunity to go through a fast-track assessment process for the following year’s Summer Internship. Treat that as a possible recruiting advantage, not a guaranteed internship, interview or offer.

Women’s Horizon is broader by year of study than the general Spring Insight route

The current Women’s Horizon posting is aimed at female university students in any year of study and Master’s students. Rothschild also requires candidates to be on track for at least a 2:1 or equivalent, motivated to explore advisory, commercially aware and able to work well in a team.

That year-of-study rule is materially broader than Rothschild’s current general Global Advisory Spring Insight route, which targets students graduating in 2029 and describes first-year students or second-year students on a four-year course. If you fit both, treat them as separate program decisions rather than interchangeable applications.

The Women’s Horizon page does not restrict applicants to a named degree discipline. Do not turn that absence into a claim that academic background never matters in selection.

What you actually do during the four days

The program is centered on Global Advisory, including M&A, Debt & Restructuring and Global Markets Solutions. Rothschild also says participants gain exposure to Wealth & Asset Management and Five Arrows.

The format includes shadowing junior bankers, skills sessions, presentations and networking. That gives you evidence about how you approached the program and what you learned, but it is not the same as owning a normal analyst workload.

A useful preparation question is narrower than “Why banking?” Pick one part of advisory you want to test, explain what evidence or experience made you curious about it, and be ready to say what you hope to learn from the broader business exposure.

Prepare before September 29 instead of waiting for a deadline

Because the application is rolling, finish the one-page CV, likely motivation answers and three evidence stories before the window opens. Useful evidence can come from coursework, a research or investment project, a society, a case competition, a part-time job or a campus role where you owned a real outcome.

Rothschild’s current student FAQ says candidates can submit up to seven applications globally in a recruitment cycle and that duplicate profiles using different email addresses are not considered. It also says candidates cannot edit the CV or cover letter after submission.

The broader student process describes application, potential online assessment, interviews and an assessment centre. Use the exact candidate-portal instructions for your application rather than assuming every Women’s Horizon candidate receives every stage in the same sequence.

Use Women’s Horizon as one early-finance route, not the whole search

If you are eligible for multiple early-finance programs, compare the actual work, academic stage and recruiting consequence instead of ranking them by brand alone. Women’s Horizon is useful because it gives direct advisory exposure and a possible fast-track assessment route while remaining open to a broader university-year range than many spring programs.

Keep other applications moving while you wait. A rolling insight-program application is not a summer internship application, and a later fast-track opportunity should not be counted until Rothschild actually offers it to you.
