The general intern briefing

At the September 11 source check, Citi's 2027 San Francisco Corporate Banking Summer Analyst page was application-enabled. Citi's same requisition now labels the role Posted Sep. 17, 2026 and still exposes an Apply link, while retaining an anticipated posting close date of September 17. Treat the original September 11 briefing as a historical source check, not a current-open guarantee; re-check the employer application before acting. Citi source.

BlackRock's 2027 Technology recruiting cycle is entering its active review period. Its Americas candidate FAQ says Technology applications opened in July and are reviewed on a rolling basis from September through December, with interviews beginning during that period. The same FAQ says the pre-interview assessment must be completed within five days of applying; Software Engineering and Analytics & Modeling candidates have five calendar days for the coding portion, and applying to both functions means completing two different coding tests. New York Life added a 2027 investment-management internship on September 11. Its Investments and Market Data Operations internship is a paid ten-week New York City program for students graduating between December 2027 and June 2028. The posting lists $27 per hour, says applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and says interviews will begin no later than October 2026. New York Life source.

Bank of America's Toronto Global Payments Solutions Summer Analyst role has an exact application cutoff. The official page says applications are due September 18, 2026 at 11:55 p.m. EST and limits eligibility to bachelor's students graduating between December 2027 and August 2028. That is different from a date-only deadline: preserve the employer's stated time and time zone instead of inventing a midnight cutoff. Bank of America source.

Apple's internship board is still adding technical roles. Apple lists a Japan Information Systems and Technology internship posted September 10 and a Munich Formal Verification internship posted September 9. These are geography-specific examples, but they show that technical internship inventory is still changing during the week rather than arriving in one annual batch. Apple source.

Disney added a fresh Spring 2027 business and communications cluster. A Sales Strategy & Integration internship and a Disney Eats Public Relations and Digital Communications internship were both posted September 9. Disney's internship results also show several September 8 roles across games, communications, marketing, corporate responsibility and legal/business affairs. Disney internship search.

Chevron's campus recruiting calendar is moving quickly. Its September 9–10 Texas A&M and UT Austin engineering events have just concluded, while official events are scheduled for Rice and the University of Houston on September 15 and multiple schools, including UT Austin's McCombs Career Expo, on September 16. For students at those schools, the near-term action is preparation and recruiter follow-up, not waiting for a generic national deadline. Chevron source.

Finance & investing

What changed: Citi's San Francisco Corporate Banking Summer Analyst page was application-enabled at the September 11 source check; the employer now labels the same requisition Posted Sep. 17, 2026. New York Life posted its Investments and Market Data Operations internship September 11, and Bank of America's Toronto Global Payments Solutions program publishes an exact September 18, 11:55 p.m. EST cutoff. Separately, BlackRock's published process says its technology cycle is entering review now, while its EMEA Client & Product program has location-specific September 30 and later deadlines plus a five-day pre-interview assessment window after application.

Why it matters: financial-services recruiting is not synchronized even inside a single employer. A fresh role can appear while another program is already reviewing or approaching a stated deadline, and some employers publish exact cutoff times while others publish only dates or rolling review language.

Who should care: students targeting corporate banking, asset management, client/product roles, risk, finance technology or adjacent financial-services internships.

Do now: apply to strong new openings if they fit, then calendar stated cutoffs at the precision the employer actually gives. After submitting, check every application for assessments or follow-up tasks. For BlackRock applicants, submission is not completion: the official process imposes short assessment windows and automatically withdraws incomplete applications. Technology & data

What changed: Apple lists a new IS&T technical internship in Japan dated September 10 and a Formal Verification internship in Munich dated September 9. BlackRock says review and interviewing for its 2027 Americas Technology roles runs from September through December.

Why it matters: students who assume “summer tech recruiting already happened” can miss later geography- or function-specific openings, while students who applied earlier may now be moving into assessments and interviews.

Who should care: software, information systems, hardware, verification, analytics and fintech candidates, especially students willing to search by function and location rather than employer name alone.

Do now: rerun saved searches with geography filters and check application portals. BlackRock's Americas FAQ says Software Engineering and Analytics & Modeling candidates receive a coding challenge and have five calendar days to complete the coding portion; students applying to both functions receive different coding tests for each. Marketing & business

What changed: Disney posted its Sales Strategy & Integration internship and Disney Eats Public Relations and Digital Communications internship on September 9. The Sales Strategy role is a full-time six-month Spring 2027 internship in the Orlando area and touches sales, project management, technology, digital, legal, marketing, pricing and finance teams.

Why it matters: Spring 2027 recruiting is active alongside Summer 2027 recruiting. Students who only search “summer internship” can miss semester-length business roles that start in January.

Who should care: marketing, communications, strategy, sales, project management and general business students who can commit to a Spring 2027 term.

Do now: add “Spring 2027” and “January 2027” to your searches, then verify whether a six-month full-time commitment fits your academic calendar before applying. Disney Sales Strategy source · Disney communications source.

Engineering & energy

What changed: Chevron's September 9–10 engineering recruiting events at Texas A&M and UT Austin have ended, and the next official wave includes Rice and University of Houston events September 15 plus several September 16 events.

Why it matters: campus events create their own short recruiting windows. A student who met a recruiter this week has a different next action from a student whose school's event is next week.

Who should care: engineering, computer science, data, energy, geoscience, operations and related STEM students at the listed universities.

Do now: if you attended a September 9–10 event, send a specific follow-up while the interaction is fresh and complete any employer-directed application. If your event is September 15–17, arrive with the relevant role family, location constraints and two substantive questions already decided. Chevron's calendar explicitly describes these events as internship and career recruiting opportunities. Chevron recruiting events.

Media, creative & legal

What changed: Disney's current internship results include September 8–9 openings in Lucasfilm Games production, games audio production, executive communications/public affairs, corporate social responsibility, marketing strategy and Marvel business affairs/legal.

Why it matters: entertainment internships are arriving as a cluster across very different functions. Searching only for “media intern” or only by one Disney brand can miss roles that sit in legal, communications, production or strategy.

Who should care: production, game development, audio, communications, public affairs, CSR, marketing and law students. The Marvel role is specifically a JD internship, so it should not be treated as a general undergraduate legal opening.

Do now: search by function and brand, then check degree requirements before spending time on an application. Disney internship results · Marvel JD source.
