Price the program before treating the placement as a free internship
A complete application requires a one-time $65 application fee. After acceptance, the 2027 participation fee is $5,000 for Boston, $5,000 for New York and $3,000 for Yerevan. AGBU says the fee covers housing accommodations and organized group activities and excursions; it does not cover transportation, meals or personal expenses.
| City | Participation fee | Housing / group activities | Meals and local transportation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Boston | $5,000 | Included in program fee | Participant responsibility |
| New York | $5,000 | Included in program fee | Participant responsibility |
| Yerevan | $3,000 | Included in program fee | Participant responsibility |
Admissions are need-blind. Students who are accepted can apply for partial or full financial aid based on demonstrated need, and AGBU says those awards cover fees associated with accommodations and program activities. AGBU does not provide stipends for meals, transportation or other living expenses.
AGBU recommends budgeting roughly $200–$250 per week for meals, transportation and pocket money depending on the city. Treat that as AGBU's planning estimate, not a cap on your actual costs. Participants also need medical insurance and must stay in the program's assigned housing.

Treat the placement as real work only to the extent your assigned host makes it real
AGBU says each participant receives a personalized placement in a professional work environment. After acceptance, the placement process begins with an interview with program coordinators to match interests and talent. The program also includes leadership training, professional-development activities and a formal mentorship structure in Boston, New York and Yerevan.
The current page lists past placement organizations across medicine, research, finance, technology, media and other sectors. Those examples are historical, not a promise that a 2027 participant will be placed at any named organization. Do not name a host on your resume until AGBU and the host actually assign you there.
The reviewed GLP page does not publish one universal wage, employee status, weekly work schedule or guaranteed work product for every placement. Describe the actual tasks, deliverables and supervision you receive. If a host treats the placement as unpaid, paid, volunteer or internship work under its own terms, use the host's documented relationship rather than inferring it from the GLP name.

Submit references by October 8 and use the rolling review window
AGBU says the completed application, including letters of reference, must be submitted by the deadline and that no exceptions are made. Because references are part of the completed packet, ask early and give each recommender the program name, October 8 deadline and enough context to write from direct observation.
Applicants are notified within 30 days of a complete application on a rolling basis, with final decisions made by early December. Some applicants can be placed on a wait list because spots are limited. A rolling decision process is a reason to finish a strong complete application promptly, not a reason to submit missing materials.
Choose the city based on language, cost, dates and the professional environment you can use. Applying to more than one city still requires only one application fee, according to the current page.

Use GLP as a program and placement signal, not a fabricated internship title
Before the summer, list only what has actually happened: for example, 'Selected participant, AGBU Global Leadership Program 2027' after acceptance. Once a host placement is confirmed, add the host and relationship exactly as documented. After the program, lead with the work you personally completed, the supervisor or stakeholder context and any result you can support.
Do not turn AGBU's past-placement list into your own experience or imply that selection guarantees a later internship or job. The current program page describes placements, mentors and professional networking but does not promise a separate recruiting conversion.
Representative searches this page is meant to resolve include 'AGBU Global Leadership Program 2027,' 'AGBU GLP 2027 deadline,' 'AGBU GLP cost,' 'AGBU GLP Boston New York Yerevan' and 'is AGBU GLP an internship.'
